Wet Felted Landscapes: Painting with Wool
Sunday, Feb 22 | 10 AM – 3:00 PM | $95
Spend a day in the studio discovering how to use wool fibres to create soft landscape art. This workshop is an invitation to play with colour, texture, and composition, as you layer and blend wool and other luxurious fibres.
You are welcome to create any landscape of your choosing—perhaps an ocean scene, a spring meadow, or a sunset above treed hills. You can bring a photo for inspiration, though I will also have plenty of pictures for reference. If you're feeling unsure of where to start, I’ll be right there to help you choose a scene and guide you through the design process. Once your layout is ready, you’ll use water, soap, and agitation to felt the elements together into a unique work of art. This session is beginner-friendly with no prior experience necessary, making it a creative retreat for anyone looking to explore the artistic possibilities of wool.
Please pack a lunch to enjoy during our midday break.
Felted Vessel: Wet Felting
Saturday, Feb 28 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM | $125
Join me in the studio to explore how fluffy wool can be transformed into a beautiful, three-dimensional form. This workshop focuses on the fascinating process of wet felting—where wool, soap, and water are used to create a solid, seamless object. By working with a "resist," you will learn how to craft a sturdy, hollow vessel without any stitching or seams.
I will guide you through every step of designing and building your own one-of-a-kind felted pod or decorative bowl. You’ll have the freedom to experiment with a vibrant palette of wool and other luxurious fibres to create unique designs and organic textures. This session is beginner-friendly with no prior experience necessary, offering a creative retreat for anyone curious about the structural side of felt.
Please pack a lunch to enjoy during our midday break.
Teacup Pincushion: Needle Felting
Sunday, March 1 | 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM | $95
Come and discover the charm of working in miniature as you craft a tiny, needle-felted scene nestled inside a teacup.
You will learn how to create a firm wool base—shaped like a gentle hillside—that fits securely into your teacup, creating a functional pincushion that is as practical as it is enchanting.
I will guide you step-by-step through the process of building and detailing your miniature scene. You’ll have the freedom to choose your own wool colours and can embellish your scene with details like tiny flowers or stepping stones to make the creation truly your own.
You are welcome to bring a special teacup from home, or I can provide one for you ($5). This project is a lovely way to build on prior needle felting experience, though enthusiastic beginners will also find it a rewarding challenge.

With a broad range of wool to choose from, you will be able to give your sheep a personality that is entirely its own. Through this process, you will learn foundational techniques that can be applied to any future needle felting project.
